This Thanksgiving, I Am Thankful For...

First of all, I think that it's important to give thanks every day; not just on Thanksgiving. And that is one of the reasons that I love this holiday so very much, because the emphasis is on giving thanks!

After all, the name itself is "Thanks"giving! Sure, it's also about turkey and having the biggest, yummiest feast that you can eat. And of course, it's about spending time with our loved ones and families.

Those are also my favorite things about Thanksgiving, but I think some people lose sight of the 'giving thanks' part. Not all, but some do. God already knows the things that I'm thankful for, because I share them in private every day. I am always thankful for the little things, because really, the little things are big things.

But here is my list of everything that I'm thankful for...

I'm thankful for my family, even though we are still at odds, 

I'm thankful for my children; they are my reason for living,

I'm thankful every day that I wake up, because every day is a new beginning, 

I'm thankful to be breathing the life that I've been given, because life is a gift,
I'm thankful every time my sons do something to make me proud,
I'm thankful every time my daughters look at me and smile,

I'm thankful for the warm roof over my head, 

I'm thankful for the food in my belly, 

I'm thankful for the clothes on my back, 

I'm thankful for my hard times and struggles because they only make me stronger,

but most of all on this particular Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful for a second chance at feeling alive inside again. I love this life of mine and I am so very blessed and thankful.
