Well I wanted to try to keep my girls in their cribs until they were as close to the age of three as possible, because it's just easier to get them to stay in their beds after you tuck them in by the time they're three.

But that didn't quite happen as planned... One of my daughters decided that she thoroughly enjoyed climbing out of her crib and giving me new little grey hairs on my head!  So it was time to move on from the crib and quickly

I instantly fell in love with the Disney Princess Canopy Toddler Bed, because it was the perfect princess toddler bed for my little princesses!! As a little girl I always wanted a canopy bed but my mother couldn't afford it, so I just had to make sure my girls had one! And they did...for a little while...until they decided to start trying to pull down the canopy and swing from the bars.

Yes, they did. I removed the canopy part but left the poles up for when they were ready to try the canopy again until one night when I was getting them ready for bed... I was dressing one of my twin daughters when my other daughter gets my attention by calling, "Ma."

I looked over at her and she was hanging onto one of the bars like a monkey smiling at me and giggling. Needless to say the poles were immediately removed from the room. Maybe they'll be ready to have the canopies back when they're closer to the age of three. For now, though, the beds look pretty as they are.

Maybe two years of age is too young for a canopy or maybe it would be different if I had one toddler and not two. Who knows... Just be warned though that the canopies could be pulled down if you have a monkey child. Do I regret my purchase? No way, because we can always try again. With or without the canopy the beds are girly and beautiful. I love them.

This is Where I Found Mine

I ordered mine from Walmart. They were affordable and shipping was fast as usual. Again, I got lucky and found mine when they were on a roll back for $57 each. Now they're about $64, which is still affordable for such a cute girly princess toddler bed!! Ironically I was missing a piece to one of the canopies. The company of the toddler beds shipped me the missing piece right away free of charge of course and they were very helpful.

Final Thoughts

I should add the most important thing of all is that my baby girls LOVED their beds and were so excited watching me put them together!! Since I had two beds to put together by the time I got to the second one I was a pro. I had to redo the first one a few times, which was my fault for not following instructions carefully. But like I said by the time I got to bed number two I was a pro.  :D
